Among the responsibilities of Lab Managers:

  • Select, trains, and coordinates Engineering Technology Laboratory (ETL) instructional assistants.
  • Schedules, monitors, and evaluates ETL instructional assistants.
  • Recommends ETL course material development, maintenance, and upgrades to faculty.
  • Coordinates lecture and laboratory course materials with instructional assistants and faculty.
  • Assists faculty in equipment proposal development.
  • Assists students with capstone projects.
  • Manages lab kits ordering and distribution to students.
  • Develops industry-sponsored undergraduate and graduate laboratory projects.
  • Evaluates equipment and software for use in undergraduate and graduate laboratories.
  • Provides workshop training sessions for faculty and lab assistants as needed.
  • Engages in laboratory instruction under faculty supervision.
