Among the responsibilities of Lab Managers:
- Select, trains, and coordinates Engineering Technology Laboratory (ETL) instructional assistants.
- Schedules, monitors, and evaluates ETL instructional assistants.
- Recommends ETL course material development, maintenance, and upgrades to faculty.
- Coordinates lecture and laboratory course materials with instructional assistants and faculty.
- Assists faculty in equipment proposal development.
- Assists students with capstone projects.
- Manages lab kits ordering and distribution to students.
- Develops industry-sponsored undergraduate and graduate laboratory projects.
- Evaluates equipment and software for use in undergraduate and graduate laboratories.
- Provides workshop training sessions for faculty and lab assistants as needed.
- Engages in laboratory instruction under faculty supervision.
